Inclusion by the employer of a new dismissal clause for workers over 45 years of age who extend the required notice period by one week, for workers over 45 years of age who have completed a period of service for at least two consecutive years. This minimum termination clause, set out in section 117 of the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth), applies to the public sector in Western Australia and does not apply the provisions of any public industrial instrument with lesser rights.
